The last thing you need when your travelling round the States playing to thousands of fans every night is a sore throat but that is exactly what's happened to poor old Niall Horan as he falls sick during the US leg of One Direction's 'Take Me Home' world tour.

But the 'What Makes You Beautiful' hit maker needs to be careful not to permanently damage his precious vocal chords before we have another Nathan Sykes throat-gate on our hands!

Speaking to his millions of followers the boy band babe posted several tweets moaning about his tricky throat writing: “I apologise now to anyone comin t Denver show! Throat is all over the place,” last night.

This was then followed by more miserable tweets this morning as the 19-year-old posted: “Woke up at 6am! Can't get back t sleep! It's s**t being sick isn't it? (sic)”

But it's not all bad news for Niall this week as One Direction smashed the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours ever with their latest smash hit single 'Best Song Ever' which sky rocketed up iTunes charts across the globe when it was released on Monday.
