Gabrielle Aplin Planning To Pen Her 'Best Song Ever' For One Direction's New Album

Chart topper Gabrielle Aplin has revealed that she is hoping to write a smash hit single for X Factor giants One Direction in a bid to write her 'Best Song Ever' for the super star boy band sometime in the future.

The singer-songwriter revealed she would love to work with the pop mega stars even going as far to comparing them to The Beatles!

The 20-year professed her love for the group admitting she's a keen Directioner praising the five piece for doing “incredibly well”.

Speaking to the Daily Star the west-country singer insisted: “They could be The Beatles of our generation.

“They are so famous it’s ridiculous.”

But the 'Power Of Love' hit maker revealed she's setting her sights on working with the lads telling the paper: “I don’t fan-girl Harry Styles but I think they’ve worked so hard to get where they are, so I would love to write something for them.”

Gabrielle also admitted she would love to work with golden boy hit maker Calvin Harris, who was named as the fourth biggest earning celeb under 30 of the past year, after penning and producing some of the biggest pop moments of the past two years.

She admitted: “I’m experimenting again with music.

“I wouldn’t just lay my voice on anything but I’d love to do a collaboration, like a Calvin Harris track, for example.”

Gabielle released her debut album English Rain earlier this year peaking at number two on the official UK Albums Chart.

Meanwhile One Direction released their brilliant new single 'Best Song Ever' which stormed iTunes charts across the world within hours of it's release.
