One Direction 'Shelling Out Millions On Hotel Security To Keep Crazed Fans Away'

One Direction are spending millions on their security, booking out the whole floor of hotels in a bid to keep themselves protected from crazed fans.

According to The Daily Star, the boyband are spending up to £50,000 on empty hotel rooms and have their security team patrolling outside their suites twenty four hours a day to  reduce the risk of fans breaking into their rooms.

One Direction are currently on their Take Me Home tour

A source told the tabloid: "Security around the boys is at an unprecedented level.

"Management are so worried about fans and oddballs breaking into their rooms they are often paying for the whole hotel floor to ensure no other guests can access their level.

"Security guards are positioned at the lift and stair entrances. Others patrol the floors 24/7 and stand guard outside the boys’ rooms."

The Little Things singers are currently on their Take Me Home world tour and have seen their fame sky rocket internationally in the process. Only last month Harry Styles was filmed scaling a railing outside his hotel in New York to escape a sea of fans.

And with their new movie This Is Us set for release in August, things could get whole lot crazier for the band.
The source added: "1D are getting bigger and bigger by the day. As well as the tour dates, there will also be a huge promo schedule for the movie.

"Spending a million pounds to ensure their safety may sound excessive but it’s nothing compared to the money they will earn in the next year due to the tour, movie, album and other franchises."
