Taylor Swift And Harry Styles' Failed Romance Won't Feature In One Direction Movie

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles' short lived romance might be one of the most high profile moments for the curly haired cutie but don't expect footage of the pair together to make it into One Direction's 3D movie This Is Us as according to director Morgan Spurlock there's no Swift action in the documentary set to hit screens next month.

'Haylor' dated for just 44 days at the end of 2012 and while they looked loved up before Christmas the teen dream romance was over after a bust up on holiday in the Carribean in January, according to Spurlock just before they started filming for the documentary.

Responsing to rumours Harry had asked for "any trace," of the romance to be erased from the final edit of the movie during a recent interview, he told Teen Vogue: "It gets frustrating for them at times, because suddenly stuff gets printed that isn't even true.

"I saw an article that said, 'Harry Styles demands Taylor Swift be taken out of the movie.' But by the time we started filming in January, they had already split up."

One Direction movie 'This Is Us' hits screens next month

It had been reported that the 19 year-old talked candidly about his ex in footage shot for the movie referring to her as a "pain in the a**".

“I haven’t met a girl yet who I’d want to even think of getting serious with,” the heartthrob reportedly said in the movie, according to The Daily Star.

“I think I’ve been unlucky in love so far. But then, I haven’t met anyone who’s made the Earth move for me.”

This Is Us is set to hit screens next month and promises to give a no holds bar look into the life of the biggest boyband on the planet.

Harry has been dating model Kara Rose Marshall, while Swift is said to be enjoying the single life despite being recently linked to close pal Ed Sheeran.

UK chart round-up: One Direction miss No1, but it's Diana Vickers and Professor Green who flop the most

Zayn Malik in Best Song Ever by One Direction

You kind of have to admire One Direction for releasing a single entitled 'Best Song Ever'. Whether it's provoking their fans to agree or their detractors to kick up an enraged fuss, it's certainly bound to get people talking - even if the lyrics do actually refer to another song rather than to itself. But anyway, it's the detractors who get the last laugh, as the track stalls at No2 in this week's list.

There's no shame in a No2 single, obviously - in fact, Professor Green would probably give his right arm for that kind of position (more on him later) - but, well, there's some childish fun to be had in noticing the Best Song Ever hitting the Second Best Chart Position, isn't there? No? Just me? Fine.

Anyhoo, No2 is actually an awesome start for the boys considering the song only had its radio début two days before its release, completely skipping the conventional two-month build-up campaign. Who knows how high they would have scaled if they'd held out for an extra couple of weeks?

Avicii, after scoring the best first-week numbers for any single so far this year last Sunday, enjoys another strong frame with 'Wake Me Up' and, in fact, the race wasn't even close. With another 155,000 sales this week, he outsold Zayn, Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis by two copies to one.

All the big new releases I got excited about last week have indisputably flopped. What's going on?! Diana Vickers is the one I'm perhaps most gutted about - as divisive as her distinctive yelp is, I'm of the belief that she is an almighty force of good in the pop music world, and the appearance of her comeback single 'Cinderella' way down at No76 is disappointing. Given its total lack of radio support, I wasn't expecting a platinum-selling mega-hit; but Top 40 at the very least would have been nice. The track, though not a commercially obvious single (is that a phrase?), is a great little gem, and hopefully her September-due album Music To Make The Boys Cry will fare a little better.

Above D-Vix is Nina Nesbitt - the latest recipient of the VEVO Lift treatment - whose lovely new ditty 'Way In The World' can only crawl as far as No55, despite edging inside the Top 40 in Wednesday's midweek update. And further down - surprisingly - is Professor Green, whose 'comeback' track 'Are You Getting Enough?' can only make it as far as an astonishing No93. NINETY-THREE! Who'd have thought it?! Much as I rate and respect the Prof, this track was perhaps a bit too left-field for the masses, and there'll now be a lot of pressure on his next single to put him back in the same sales league as 'Read All About It'.

Over on the album chart, X Factor runner-up Jahmene Douglas scores a début No1 with his covers album Love Never Fails. Over recent years, the confidence shown by record label bosses in the talent show's silver medalists seems to have waned a tad... since the platinum-selling arrivals of Olly Murs and Rebecca Ferguson we've had a hastily-assembled effort from Marcus Collins and now a collection of only covers by the adorable Douglas. Still, he's got a chart-topper regardless, and good for him. Whether or not he has serious industry staying power remains to be seen.

Selena Gomez scores the second-highest new entry with her first proper solo album Stars Dance, following three releases with band The Scene. The new collection, which was led last week by single 'Come And Get It' (which this week falls 6-10), was actually at No5 on Wednesday's midweek update, but sales clearly declined sharply in the second half of the frame, and it's a sub-Top 10 finish in the end. Still, it's her first appearance in the album Top 20 in the UK, and a great start to her proper post-Disney career. If we're pitting former House Of Mouse cohorts against each-other, it seems that - for the first time in our country - Demi Lovato has won. Her album Demi peaked at No6 (it's No86 now, 10 weeks after release) and single 'Heart Attack' at No3 (currently No30 after 11 weeks), meaning that - for now at least - she can hold the crown. But that's until Miley Cyrus unveils 'We Can't Stop' next month. I don't want to argue with those pre-order numbers.

One Direction 'Shelling Out Millions On Hotel Security To Keep Crazed Fans Away'

One Direction are spending millions on their security, booking out the whole floor of hotels in a bid to keep themselves protected from crazed fans.

According to The Daily Star, the boyband are spending up to £50,000 on empty hotel rooms and have their security team patrolling outside their suites twenty four hours a day to  reduce the risk of fans breaking into their rooms.

One Direction are currently on their Take Me Home tour

A source told the tabloid: "Security around the boys is at an unprecedented level.

"Management are so worried about fans and oddballs breaking into their rooms they are often paying for the whole hotel floor to ensure no other guests can access their level.

"Security guards are positioned at the lift and stair entrances. Others patrol the floors 24/7 and stand guard outside the boys’ rooms."

The Little Things singers are currently on their Take Me Home world tour and have seen their fame sky rocket internationally in the process. Only last month Harry Styles was filmed scaling a railing outside his hotel in New York to escape a sea of fans.

And with their new movie This Is Us set for release in August, things could get whole lot crazier for the band.
The source added: "1D are getting bigger and bigger by the day. As well as the tour dates, there will also be a huge promo schedule for the movie.

"Spending a million pounds to ensure their safety may sound excessive but it’s nothing compared to the money they will earn in the next year due to the tour, movie, album and other franchises."

Harry Styles Goes Crazy On One Direction Tour? Shares Snap Of Himself 'Talking To A Brick Wall' (PHOTO)

Harry Styles regularly takes to Instagram to share his shenanigans with his millions of followers, but it seems like the 1D hunk may be going a little 'tour crazy' as the most recent snap he posted is of himself talking to a brick wall.

The curly haired cutie is currently on tour with the rest of the One Direction boys and they've had a hectic schedule ever since their Take Me Home dates kicked off back in March.

However, Directioners don't fret! The babe isn't going crazy (or at least, we hope not anyway...) It's just Hazza posting yet another one of his 'jokey' snaps no doubt, posting the pic for his millions of followers to feast their eyes on.

Meanwhile, Harry also took to Twitter on Friday to share some Mick Jagger 70th birthday love, posting:

Aw, short but sweet!

It was rumoured this month that Harry is so keen to emulate his idol that he is planning to learn ballet to keep fit on stage and help with his Jagger moves.

“Harry wants a career spanning decades like Mick’s and to have that he recognises that fitness, health and developing his body is the key,” a source told the The Sun.

“He spoke to [personal trainer] Torje about Jagger’s intense routine of kick-boxing, running, weights and, most importantly, ballet. That’s the Achilles’ heel in Harry’s training. He can’t dance and neither can any of the 1D boys — their choreographer recognised early on that they shouldn’t dance on stage.”

What do you think? Does Harry have the moves like Jagger?

Miley Cyrus Ecstatic At New Vevo Record Despite Losing Out To One Direction

Miley Cyrus shared her excitement this weekend after smashing a VEVO record, which comes just days after another record previously held by the star was overtaken by One Direction's latest single 'Best Song Ever'.

The former Hannah Montana star, racked up 100 million views for her controversial video 'We Can't Stop' which was later confirmed  as the fastest time a video has ever reached that amount of views.

The star took to Twitter to boast about her impressive achievement and thank her loyal army of followers.
The 20-year-old wrote: "We got 100 million views?!?!?! Oh my god! We did it! We broke the vevo record! 100 million views in 37 days maaaafakkkkas!!!! Directors cut coming soon! (sic).

Miley has been campaigning in a desperate bid to reach the milestone all week, even promising fans that she would treat them to a new version of the video, if they helped her break the VEVO record.

The mischievous singer raised eyebrows in her sexually suggestive video where she is seen writhing around on a bed bed and 'Twerking'.

Miley Cyrus smashed the VEVO record with 100 million views in 37 days

Miley's achievement comes just days after she lost her crown to British pop band, One Direction, who broke her previous record for the most views in 24 hours.
The music video site had announced last week that Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan - who also appear in drag in the video - had racked up 12.5 million views just a day after its upload.

An official tweet from VEVO read: “The New 24hr Record = 12.3 MILLION. Just….WOW. #Directioners ain’t playin. #BSEVEVORECORD.” The boyband may find it harder to top the UK charts though and it’s been confirmed that as of last Wednesday, they had failed to knock Avicii off the top spot by the time the mid week figures were collated.

The Best Songwriters Ever? One Direction Admit They've Written Most Of Their Forthcoming Album Themselves

One Direction have written most of their forthcoming album themselves – but they admit that turning their backs on established songwriters could backfire on them.

The band have just released new single Best Song Ever – a track written by Wayne Hector, John Ryan, Julian Bunetta and Ed Drewett – but have opted to veer away from tried and trusted composers by acting as main writers on their eagerly anticipated new long player.
However, they admit breaking away from the song writing formula that won them fans all over the world with Up All Night and Take Me Home is risky.

Up all night: The band have been putting in the hours as they write songs for their enw album

“We wrote three songs on the last album, bit this is different,” band member Louis Tomlinson told The Sun. “Liam (Payne) and I have been spending our days off writing, It will be interesting to hear what people make of it but you'll always get criticised.”

Harry Styles added: “Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it's easy to hate One Direction.”

Amongst those working with them on the album are pop veterans McFly, who jetted out to Belfast earlier this year to pen a new track with Niall Horan.

Hard at work: The band are currently on tour, but expect to drop their new album by the end of the year

“It hasn't got a title at the moment but we wrote the song with Niall,” revealed bassist Dougie Poynter. “He's got some good ideas so had a lot of input.”

Snow Patrol's Gary Lighbody has also been working with the band.

“We wrote with Harry,” he said. “It was a lot of fun. He's a real dude actually. We've no idea if those songs will make it yet, though. It's a long prcess. It's great to work with other people – it's good to flex the muscle.”

Niall Horan isn't just a worldwide popstar alongside his fellow One Direction bandmates, he's also an uncle to the newest addition of the Horan family..Theodore!

Having gushed about his little nephew when he was born last week, Niall continued to show his love for the little bundle of joy when he told his fans and followers on Twitter what his brother and his wife had decided to call him.

But it's not all bad news for Niall this week as One Direction smashed the record for the most viewed video in 24 hours ever with their latest smash hit single 'Best Song Ever' which sky rocketed up iTunes charts across the globe when it was released on Monday.

Gabrielle Aplin Planning To Pen Her 'Best Song Ever' For One Direction's New Album

Chart topper Gabrielle Aplin has revealed that she is hoping to write a smash hit single for X Factor giants One Direction in a bid to write her 'Best Song Ever' for the super star boy band sometime in the future.

The singer-songwriter revealed she would love to work with the pop mega stars even going as far to comparing them to The Beatles!

Gabrielle Aplin confesses to wanting to write a smash hit for One Direction.

The 20-year professed her love for the group admitting she's a keen Directioner praising the five piece for doing “incredibly well”.

Speaking to the Daily Star the west-country singer insisted: “They could be The Beatles of our generation.
“They are so famous it’s ridiculous.”

But the 'Power Of Love' hit maker revealed she's setting her sights on working with the lads telling the paper: “I don’t fan-girl Harry Styles but I think they’ve worked so hard to get where they are, so I would love to write something for them.”

Gabrielle Aplin says she would also love to work with Calvin Harris

Gabrielle also admitted she would love to work with golden boy hit maker Calvin Harris, who was named as the fourth biggest earning celeb under 30 of the past year, after penning and producing some of the biggest pop moments of the past two years.

She admitted: “I’m experimenting again with music.

“I wouldn’t just lay my voice on anything but I’d love to do a collaboration, like a Calvin Harris track, for example.”

Gabielle released her debut album English Rain earlier this year peaking at number two on the official UK Albums Chart.

Meanwhile One Direction released their brilliant new single 'Best Song Ever' which stormed iTunes charts across the world within hours of it's release.

Nail varnishes come in five colours including 'Coral Rock Me' and romantic soft pink 'Moments' while the boys have carefully selected their favourite scented lip glosses with Fashionista.com claiming: “Harry loves strawberry”, “Niall loves cherry” and “Louis Loves vanilla”.

Luckily they all love five different smells and colours then!

Harry Styles Shares Snap Of Half Empty One Direction Arena: 'We Did A Show And Nobody Came' (PHOTO)

The One Direction boys have been busy wowing sold out crowds across the globe for majority of this year, but Harry Styles shocked his Twitter and Instagram followers last night when he posted a snap of a 'half empty' 1D arena.

The boys have been enjoying huge success with their Take Me Home worldwide tour, but last night's crowd definitely didn't live up to the boy's usual expectations, if Hazza's pic is anything to go by!

Harry shared this shot of the crowd last night (Photo: Instagram/Harry Styles)

However, fans were quick to dismiss the crowd shot as that of an actual 1D gig, insisting that Harry cheekily took a shot of the band's sound check and posted the snap alongside the caption:

Meanwhile, the lads are facing a rather tough chart battle this week as they released their latest track 'Best Song Ever.'

However, they're struggling to beat Avicii's reigning chart-topper 'Wake Me Up', resulting in them taking to Twitter to beg for fans help.

Niall posted: "UK this week is gona be a tough week in the charts! So if you're still buzzing about BSE , go get it!"

Liam also tried to garner some more sales, posting a link to the download store with the caption: "Best song everrrr ? I think so :)"

Harry Styles followed suit, writing: "You can get BEST SONG EVER right here if you'd like.. We hope you love it!"

You can do it, boys!

James Corden Emerges As Writer Of One Direction's Hilarious 'Best Song Ever' Video Intro

When we saw the latest video from our favourite X Factor boy band One Direction this week we were blown away by their hilarious performances mocking Hollywood bigwigs in the opening scenes, exposing themselves as great comedic talents.

But it turns out the boys had the best material to work with recruiting the nation's favourite funny man James Corden to pen the video's intro alongside director Ben Winston teaming up to make our favourite 1D video ever!

One Direction recruit James Corden to pen their new video for 'Best Song Ever'

On Monday the clip racked up an astonishing 12.3 million views in just one day smashing Miley Cyrus' record for the most watched music video ever in just 24 hours proving to be a massive success for the 'Little Things' band.

James Corden helps One Direction to break VEVO's record for the most viewed video in 24 hours ever

As a fond friend of the band Harry, Louis and Niall attended the 'Gavin and Stacey' writer's celebtastic wedding last year and now the comedian has joined forces with the gang to cement their place as the biggest boy band in the world.

One Direction released their hotly anticipated new single 'Best Song Ever' this week shooting straight to number two on the iTunes chart within hours of it's release.

The X Factor giants are currently embarking on the US leg of their gigantic 'Take Me Home' world tour before their new movie 'This Is Us' is released in the UK on August 23.

Miley Cyrus claims that she isn’t really sure who One Direction are despite previously tweeting about the boys, who is she trying to kid?

Miley Cyrus may be doing a stellar job of shaking her clean-cut Disney image but we’re not entirely convinced that she’s just too cool to know who One Direction are.

Miley Cyrus is too cool to know who One Direction are, apparently.

But this is exactly what the 20-year-old singer claimed in a recent Q&A session with Heat.

When asked if she was a fan of the group, Miley was quick to claim that she knew very little about the world’s biggest boy band, well right now at least.

She said: “I mean, don’t ask me to name a song or something because I can’t do that. I know what they look like."

Oh come on Miley, everyone knows a One Direction song whether they like it or not.

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer was then probed as to whether she had ever met any of the boys, leading to Miley becoming supposedly confused between Niall Horan and Harry Styles.

Miley Cyrus claims she doesn't know any of One Direction's songs.

She claimed:"I think so, I think I met Harry, I think, backstage, I don't really remember that much.

"I just remember my sister was super excited. I don’t really know them that much, that’s like so bad but it’s like I listen to urban."

Ok Miley, then please explain this tweet you posted earlier on in the year with Niall Horan in the recording studio where you explicitly mentioned his name in the caption?

Miley Cyrus poses with Niall Horan in the recording studio.

Or perhaps you could also tell us that if you have no idea who Harry Styles, why you tweeted a picture of yourself hugging a cardboard cut of the heart throb alongside the caption:  "In no way do I want Harry. No offense. I'm sure that'll be a story now 2. I'm happily engaged. Just got saucy with a cardboard cut out."

Miley Cyrus snuggles up to a cardboard cut out of Harry Styles.

Sorry Miley but your claims simply don’t wash with us.

Perhaps she was just miffed that the boys recently broke her record of racking up the fastest number of hits in 24 hours on Vevo with new single ‘Best Song Ever’.

UPDATE: One Direction's 'Best Song Ever' Breaks VEVO Record With 12.3 Million Views In 24 Hours

One Direction will no doubt be popping open the champagne this week after learning that they have trumped Miley Cyrus to break VEVO's record for the most watched video in 24 hours with their latest single 'Best Song Ever' clocking up more than 12.3 million views.

The 'Best Song Ever' video, which premiered this week, sees Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik show off their acting skills by taking an array of Hollywood characters including a record label executive, a marketing guy, choreographer and a “sexy” assistant played by Zayn.

In support of the premiere, the lads launched a week-long campaign during which they released several teasers and it looks as though their efforts have paid off as fans have flooded video site VEVO to watch the clip on repeat, managing to break the site's record for the most watched video in one day.

Miley Cyrus took hold of the title last month following the launch of 'We Can't Stop' which was watched by 10.7 million, but One Direction have stormed in to steal her crown now incredibly clocking up more than 12.3 million views in the 24 hours following its premiere on Monday. Initial figures were reported yesterday to have been 10.9 million.

'Best Song Ever' will feature in One Direction's upcoming 3D concert movie 'This Is Us,' out on August 29, and the video's director Ben Winston says both show the boys breaking boundaries and just being the typical young lads they are.

Speaking to MTV News, Ben explained: "The film that we've made 'This Is Us' is really the boys' story, and it's not trying to make them anything they're not. And that's what's incredible about One Direction, I think, is that they are a boy band that break all the rules and always do what they want to do."

One Direction Babe Harry Styles Mocks US Coverage Of Royal Baby After Prince Charles Gaffe

Harry Styles might be on the US leg of their Take Me Home world tour but that hasn't stopped the curly haired cutie mocking a US TV reporter after they got the name of Prince William wrong, during coverage of the royal baby's birth referring to Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge's husband as Prince Charles.

The couple, who welcomed their first child the Prince of Cambridge on Monday, introduced the baby to the world yesterday and clearly, despite being a young popstar, Harry was watching too and couldn't resist making fun of the reporter for her major faux pas.

After telling the Americans to get their royal family tree straight the Kiss You babe offered his own congratulations to the royal couple and their little son, who is now third in line to the throne.

While the arrival of the royal baby might have dominated the headlines, July 22 wasn't just his birthday as it was also the third anniversary of One Direction being formed on the X Factor.

Kate and William revealed their baby son yesterday (Splash News)

Yes, that's right it's only been THREE years since the lads got together and become the most beloved pop group on the planet. Admitting it was only getting better Harry thanked the fans for their unwavering love.

To celebrate the lads released their new single and video for Best Song ever which has already broken the Vevo record for most hits in 24 hours with 10.9 million. Those are five popular guys!

'They Always Do What They Want To Do' Director Explains One Direction's 'This Is Us' Inspired Video For 'Best Song Ever'

This week Directioners went crazy for One Direction's highly-anticipated video for their new single 'Best Song Ever', smashing Miley Cyrus' record for the most viewed video in 24 hours ever with their hilarious new clip, which sees the boys spoofing Hollywood big wigs ahead of the release of their new movie 'This Is Us'.

But while us simpletons just presumed the boys were just playing dress up, the record-breaking video's director revealed that in fact the clip is about so much more than that.

Ben Winston explains One Direction's new video for 'Best Song Ever' (Daniel Deme/WENN)

According to Ben Winston, the promo is actually about appreciating who the 'Little Things' really are and what they've achieved by doing exactly what they want to do and how they want to do it.

Speaking to MTV News Ben explained: "The film that we've made 'This Is Us' is really the boys' story, and it's not trying to make them anything they're not. And that's what's incredible about One Direction, I think, is that they are a boy band that break all the rules and always do what they want to do."

At the beginning of the video the boys dress up as their Hollywood alter ego's taking a swipe at the industries elite in an outrageous parody which sees Louis and Niall looking unrecognisable as big time movie executives, Liam playing an over the top choreographer, Harry acts as a lovable geeky marketing mogul while Zayn looks totally unrecognisable dolled up as a lady!

But Ben says it was so much more then just an excuse to play with prosthetics in fact the video makes a statement that the guys are in complete control of their phenomenal 1D empire insisting: “Part of loving One Direction is sort of understanding they are their own men and they do what they want to do at all times.

"They dance if they want to dance. They'll sing the tunes [they want]. They'll dress however they want to dress and that, I guess, is sort of a part of the video."

So the message of the video is: “We are who we are and we're never going to change for anybody."

But the director confessed it was still about having a lot fun along the way!

One Direction's new single 'Bet Song Ever' was released across the globe shooting straight to the top of iTunes charts everywhere.

There first ever movie will be released in the UK on August 29 and a day later in the States.

One Direction Smash Vevo Record With Best Song Ever Video

One Direction have only gone and broken a massive Vevo record folowing the release of their hilarious new video for Best Song Ever.

The video, which sees the boys dress up as alter egos, has notched up the most views in 24 hours following it's unveiling yesterday. The video was watched by 10.9 million views in just one day with that number climbing every hour.

The previous record holder was Miley Cyrus’ We Can’t Stop, which gained 10.7 million views when it was released earlier this month.

A source told The Daily Mirror of the boys video shoot: "The boys had a great time making the movie. They couldn’t believe how different they look. They can’t wait for their fans to see them looking like this, they think they will find it absolutely hilarious."

The boys' latest achievement comes on the same day as their three year anniversary as a band, after they shot to fame on The X Factor in 2010.

The fivesome auditioned for the competition as solo artists, only to be put together as a group without realising they would become one of the most successful boy bands of all time.

While Louis celebrated the three years since he first auditioned for the ITV show earlier this month, Harry has marked the band's special occasion with a sweet message on Twitter in which he credited their fans for their achievements. “3 years.. I honestly can't believe it. Thank you so much for everything, we're so lucky to have you. You keep making it more and more fun,” Harry tweeted this morning.

They may not have won The X Factor but the lads have released two albums, 'Up All Night' and 'Take Me Home,' the latter of which soared to number one and are currently on their first ever world tour, while also managing to score three chart-topping singles.
